10: Color Palette

The Color Palette provides a means to view and edit a selected object's fill and stroke colors.

If a selected object has fill and stroke properties, these colors are displayed in the palette. Depending on the current color system used in the palette, the color will be displayed as a set of RGB (with a corresponding hexadecimal value), HSB, or Grayscale values with corresponding sliders for adjusting individual channels.

Customize Your Color Swatches to Your Unique Workflow
In addition to using the channel sliders to edit an object's colors, there are also the Color Picker and Swatch Palette. The Color Picker displays a spectrum of colors for a range of values, including no color (left-hand box with red slash).

The Swatch Palette lets you select colors from a preset range of 44 colors, as well as any colors you may have added. To add a swatch, simply move your cursor to an empty swatch space, and fill the swatch with the color currently selected in the active Fill and Stroke Indicator.
