The IKIVO Enrich Widget Solution is a solution that delivers a state of the art Widget runtime,
a Widget Desktop Application, Tools for Widget creation, great user experience, connectivity and simplicity.
The IKIVO Widget solution is aligned with and supports the ongoing Widget standardization work of the OMTP BONDI Initiative and the W3C Widgets being specified by the WebApps Working Group. Where standards are not set, IKIVO has combined market requirements with extensive knowledge of OMA, W3C and OMTP standardization to design a flexible solution that can be adapted as the standards are ratified.
The IKIVO solution builds on IKIVO’s broadly deployed Enrich Rich Media Client (RMC), which provides a high-performance SVG engine and scripted runtime, combined with an enabling layer, to create a resource efficient application platform, ideal for both embedding in tailored devices and delivering to high-end smartphone devices in the market.
The IKIVO Enrich Widget solution distinguishes itself from other widget solutions in the market by enabling device manufacturers and carriers to introduce premium, SVG centric, widgets in addition to basic html widgets. End users will to a great extent expect basic html widgets for free, much like they do on the internet. This opens the need for carrier and device manufacturers to introduce a superior set of widgets, widgets which will add such value to the user that they can be monetized and hence drive revenue.
